From Oct. 23 th  to 24th , Inspur held the “Inspur World 2014” technical and application summit meeting in Beijing and nearly 3,000 clients from governments, enterprises and vertical industries as well as relevant technical experts and industry insiders attended the meeting. As a biannual forward-looking technical event of Inspur Group, this summit meeting is expected to allow the participants to feel cutting-edge technologies and the future trend of innovation. Having “digital intelligence and future of cloud” as the theme, this meeting displays the data-based software, hardware and service strategies of Inspur in light of the deep integration of industry and informatization and allows the participants to have heated discussions on big data, cloud computing, cloud data center and other hot topics.

Big data, cloud computing, mobile Internet, IOT, social networking and next-generation Internet are changing the modes of social and enterprise managements and our way of working, living, behaving and even thinking and inducing another wave of social revolutions. During the “Inspur World 2014”, Sun Pishu, chairman and CEO of Inspur, raised the In-Cloud strategy of Inspur that focused on cloud center, cloud service, cloud safety and cloud partner according to the new situations for the first time. “Informatization is changing from application orientation towards data orientation”, as Sun said, “cloud computing is fundamental to solving the big data problems. Inspur will establish the In-Cloud strategy based on data”.

Sun Pishu, chairman and CEO of Inspur

Today, big data and cloud computing have become the hot spots of informatization work and will become an important support to the government’s efforts to strengthen governing ability and improve public service level and a strong guarantee of enterprise restructuring and upgrading and improvement of operating efficiency. However, the original informatization work is oriented towards application and relevant systems are established for specific applications so that the “stack” applications that disable sharing are created and the various data in different applications can’t be integrated, analyzed and forecast. Cloud computing can effectively integrate the data, erect a big data platform and deploy applications on the platform according to operating needs. Therefore, data orientation has become an important routing for the realization of Inspur’s In-Cloud strategy and cloud center, cloud service, cloud safety and cloud partner are the four goals of Inspur’s In-Cloud strategy.

Three-step method” for cloud center construction

China’s Internet scale is close to the scale of America’s Internet and the demands from China’s traditional industries have become the most representative demands in the world. It is expected that China’s data center market scale will exceed 100 billion Yuan in 2016, accounting for one-third of the global data center market. China will also become the world’s largest data center market with extremely high demands for the big data capture, integration, analysis and service based on cloud data center. According to Sun, Inspur will utilize its technical advantages in cloud computing core equipment and software and hardware integration as well as its big data integration and analysis ability to actively construct cloud computing centers for governmental, industrial and corporate clients in the new era.

Inspur will adopt the “three-step method” of service clouding, data integration and application innovation for the construction of the cloud center. The first step is service clouding. In a conventional data center, infrastructures and services are closely coupled and IT resources can’t flow flexibly and the data can’t be shared efficiently. Inspur K1 mainframe, SmartRack, Yingxin server, AS storage series, In-Cloud OS and other software and hardware products can help relevant organizations to store the infrastructures and complete service clouding and hence lay a foundation for data orientation. The second step is data integration. On the basis of infrastructure clouding, relevant organization can use Inspur In-Cloud IOP platform to erect an open big data processing platform and integrate and collaboratively process the organization data. Moreover, relevant organization can also use Inspur Zhuoshu platform to integrate Internet data and hence combine the organizational data and Internet data and generate innovative applications. The third step is innovative application. Inspur already possesses enterprise ERP system and government GRP system and it will work together with partners to establish more innovative applications.

Facilitate restructuring towards cloud services

There are booming demands in China’s cloud service market. In 2013, China’s public cloud service market scale grew by 36% on a YOY basis, wherein IaaS registered a market growth rate of 105%. Inspur enjoys product, solution and service ability and can provide guaranteed cloud services to clients. “Restructuring towards a service supplier is the development goal of Inspur and the essential path of Inspur”, as Sun believes, “customer informatization outsourcing is an inevitable trend. Inspur has to take the lead, go in line with the trend and even set the trend. This is required for enterprise development and economic and social development of China. With the continuous growth of China’s national strength, we urgently need a capable large-size enterprise to undertake the planning and construction of large-scale systems and provide support and guarantee to the informatization of China’s economic and social development”. For this purpose, Inspur will equally promote the development of products, solutions and services and facilitate the restructuring towards cloud services.

According to the experiences of Inspur in informatization in the last couple of years, cloud services will be established in the sequence of government, enterprise and vertical industry while E-government cloud is the mainstream market force. On the early days of restructuring towards cloud service, Inspur determined the development path that had technical innovation and business mode innovation as the two driving forces. In terms of technical innovation, Inspur already establishes the market advantages based on product and solution and they have become the basis of cloud services. Today, Inspur already satisfies the national Class III protection standards in terms of cloud service ability and acquires the data center trans-regional IDC/ISP business license and IT service management system certificate. It can also provide governmental clients with emergency services, including “two places and three centers” and double active architectural modes. In terms of business mode innovation, Inspur has cooperated with the governments of Hainan, Jinan and other provinces and cities to supply cloud services to them as a whole. It is the first to establish China’s technical, safety, management and billing codes and standards of cloud services. It has established diversified business cooperation modes and set an example for the government’s procurement of cloud services. Inspur cloud computing center, as Asia’s largest 4G data center constructed by Inspur, was also launched into operation not long ago.

The national network of Inspur cloud services has been initially established. In 2014, Inspur will further plan and construct 10 different levels of data centers to provide cloud services to governments, enterprises and social organizations. Inspur expects to deeply explore the cloud service market and capitalize on the national encouragement of governmental procurement of social services to provide cloud services to 100 governments through self-construction, collaborative construction and various other business modes. Inspur will aggressively develop data services and provide data integration services to 100 enterprises. Meanwhile, it will establish an Internet big data collection center, launch PB-level Internet big data collection, store data, rely on big data mining technologies to provide data application services and establish the data service industrial chain. Moreover, significant achievements have been made in Inspur cloud service, smart city planning and “iCity” network. Today, totally 65 cloud service programs are running on various cloud centers; there are 8 new smart city counseling and planning programs. China’s first government data opening project was implemented in Guangzhou. iCity Network was launched on line in Yantai and Jinzhong. Inspur also participated in the cloud service planning of 15 ministries and commissions.

Three major goals of cloud safety

With the continuous development of information technology, various industrial users are increasingly dependent on data center information system. Establishing a continuous, stable and safe cloud data center is the precondition to guarantee business development of users. However, cloud safety is severely endangered and the market lacks a systematic safety solution oriented towards cloud data center. Therefore, cloud data centers are facing three severe challenges, i.e. internal attacks, external attacks and APT attacks.

To develop the general safety plan oriented towards cloud data center, Inspur has set three major goals for cloud safety: I. Develop independently controllable core cloud equipment; independent controllability is the precondition of safety and it is necessary to avoid a loose base of safety; II. Establish a trusted cloud basic platform. Trust is fundamental to safety and it can cover up the safety defects of existing computers; III. Provide flexible cloud safety pool services. Pooling is the goal of safety and Inspur will provide smart, jointly operated and easily available safety services. It is noteworthy that Inspur has also established a cloud data center safety defense lab this year. Inspur has also established cloud application zone and cloud flow cleaning zone on the basis of development, test and conventional application. It has rich cloud safety experimental features and network attack defense features as the basis for practical protection of cloud safety.

Open and win-win cloud partnerships

Inspur has always stuck to an open and win-win cloud strategy and it will continue joint efforts with partners for construction of an IT ecological system. In 2013, Inspur took the lead to establish the Industrial Alliance of Homemade Mainframe Systems together with 38 upstream and downstream enterprises with an aim to promote cooperation among domestic enterprises of mainframes, chips, operating systems, databases and middleware. After release of the K Migration Program, the Alliance also made a series of breakthroughs and milestones in the financial, taxation, political, legal, energy, radio and TV and other industries and successfully realized localization of products.

Moreover, the “Inspur Cloud Intelligence Alliance” that comprises 37 famous IT enterprises of nine provinces and cities, including Inspur, Beijing RES, Jiangchuang Technology, Rongda Information, Guangzhou Youda and Hangao Software, was established not long ago. This is the first IT industrial alliance of China based on cloud computing, big data and other critical technologies and focusing on innovative applications of smart city construction. It plays an important role in promoting merger and integration of enterprises along the industrial chain and establishing the paradigm of innovative applications of smart cities in China and will directly promote the process of smart city construction and application in China. In 2014, Inspur will have the “Industrial Alliance of Homemade Mainframe System” and the “Cloud Intelligence Alliance” as the cores and rely on collaborative innovation to develop an independent industrial chain of China.
